Facial laser hair removal

Facial hair can make you feel both self-conscious and stressed with time consuming removal methods. We know that waxing and threading can be  painful, however these don’t have to be your only options.

Laser hair removal is an excellent alternative for removing unwanted hair safely, non-invasively and effectively, so you can finally eliminate any facial hair that has been bothering you.

How does facial laser hair removal work?

For those opting for laser hair removal, the treatment works by using light beams to target and heat the hair follicles to restrict the blood supply at the root of the hair, reducing further growth.

Sessions of laser hair removal will be spaced approximately four weeks apart. Multiple sessions are often needed to achieve the best results with both of these treatments, however the amount you may need will be discussed in detail with you during your initial free consultation.

During each treatment we will target all of the hairs in your selected area, however as hair goes through 3 different growth cycles, we recommend a minimum of 6 sessions per area to see a significant reduction in hair growth, and the best results possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does PicoWay Resolve work?

During your treatment, the laser light is fired into your skin. These ultrashort short pulses fired uniformly into the skin actually stimulate collagen production. Your body then starts creating more collagen and the signs of ageing start to minimise. Your body actually doing the anti-ageing work for you.

Do I need an initial consultation?

Yes, it is very important you have a consultation and patch test before embarking on a series of treatments. This is because you need to be sure you are appropriate for the procedure and do not have any adverse reactions to the laser. Here at Pulse Light Clinic in London, we offer this consultation and patch test for free.

Are there any side effects?

PicoWay treatments selectively treat the melanin pigmentation while leaving surrounding skin undamaged. Following a treatment, patients will experience temporary discoloration or reddening of the skin around the treatment area. Some patients may also experience a temporary lightening or darkening of the skin for a few months following the treatment. The skin will typically return to normal colour within a few months.

What should I expect following the treatment?

The area of your skin treated may remain red for up to a few hours. It is recommended that over the next few days you do not scrub or exfoliate the area. If you notice any darker skin peeling/falling off in the area treated, don’t worry it is a good thing.
