The Beginner Course to become a Laser Hair Removal Therapist is tailor-made for individuals with no experience or qualifications in the laser hair removal. The course will qualify you in the popular treatments of laser hair removal.

The course covers the following:

Anatomy and Physiology: Assessed in a multiple-choice exam, this offers you a standalone qualification that you can use for other qualifications.

We pride ourselves on looking at the anatomy and physiology of the hair and skin in great depth, so that our students really understand the science behind the treatment they will be providing.

Laser and Light Hair Removal:

For this component of the course, we make sure that we look at the science of laser and how to set the protocols safely and effectively for clients. The smaller class sizes, usually 1-2-1 teaching, ensures that our students feel confident in this. This section looks at:

– Laser Classification
– Skin and hair biology
– Consultation
– Treatment
– Patch testing procedure
– Treatment protocols
– Effectiveness of treatments
– Length between sessions,
– Conditions to be treated
– Safe parameters of laser machines for effective treatments
– Describing the physical sensation of the treatment to the client
– Adverse reactions and what to do

Practical

Your practical training will take place in our Birmingham clinic.
We want you to be confident and competent when you finish, we do not set a limit on practical days, we invite you back to refresher days with us as and when you feel the need.

Practical training days will consist of a demo in the morning and then practising on models the rest of the time.

Theory

We are not like other academies where you are emailed a PDF and expected to read it before going straight into practical. We have 1 full day of theory covering all the aspects of Laser Hair Removal. We give you all the course material to keep and refer back to as your life book!

This allows you to familiarise yourself fully with the theory, allowing you to focus fully on acquiring and demonstrating your practical skills during our training days.
Written assessment papers will need to be completed and will provide further evidence of your knowledge and understanding of the subject.

Exams

You will need to complete:
Written Assessment needs to be submitted and passed

We have the very latest equipment and products required to adhere to industry standards. We also have an on-going Support Team available at all times.

Entry Requirements

Students will require a good command of spoken and written English to complete the qualification.

Students will need to have completed a GCSE and are over the age of 18

What is included?

Manuals are provided to assist you in the completion of your assessments.

All products and tools are provided for the training days at the centre when you attend. No kit is required to complete the training days, nor included in the course fee. Tea & coffee are provided on the training days.
